Copper–Nickel Alloys
Copper–Nickel alloys are widely used in marine, heat exchanger, and corrosion-resistant applications, where chemistry accuracy is non-negotiable. Even small deviations in nickel content can impact corrosion resistance, mechanical performance, and customer acceptance.
Customers working with Cu–Ni alloys use OES primarily for incoming material verification and grade confirmation before fabrication. These are typically high-value applications, and the cost of rejection is significant. As a result, users demand high stability, strong repeatability, and confidence in every measurement.
Due to the critical nature of these alloys, Gold Plus XL is the recommended platforms for Cu–Ni applications. Lower-tier systems are generally not advised for this category.
